In case you you didn't know, "Dumsor" , the popular term used in Ghana to mean the unstable nature of electricity in the country, has gone just beyond Ghana. Here are a few of how the "Dumsor"fever has gone viral:<br />

1. As a matter of fact, "Dumsor" has now been indexed by <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dumsor" target="_blank">Wikipedia</a>. </i><br />

2. <b><a href="https://play.google.com/store/search?q=dumsor&c=apps&hl=en" target="_blank">Google PlayStore </a> </b>has at least <b>four apps </b>bearing the name "Dumsor" and their usage vary from flashlights to time tables.<br />

There's been a lot of interest in finding the first [American] company to reach the valuation of $1 trillion (13 figures). However, the race, at the moment, is between Apple Inc. and Google Inc. considering the fact that these companies have shown a lot of zeal and determination to reach the 13-figure mark.<br />

Apple [Computer] Inc. currently has a valuation of <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 26px;"><b>$598.73 billion </b>while Google Inc.'s currently valuation is </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 26px;"> </span><span style="background-color: white;"><b style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 26px;">$364.99 billion.</b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif;"><span style="line-height: 26px;"> </span></span></span><br />

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif;"><span style="line-height: 26px;">Irrespective the slight lead by Apple to be the first to fo so, critics and researchers such as BGC's </span></span></span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 26px;">Colin Gillis are very optimistic that Google is quite likely to bypass Apple and continue to be the first ever company to be valued at $1 trillion by 2020 under the condition that Google grows at a <b>35%</b> rate yearly for the next 5 years. </span><br />

On the contrary, if Apple is to also grow at a considerable <b>13.4%</b> every year for the next 5 years, it can also do so.<br />
<br />
So considering the expected growth rates, why would researchers still expect Google to get <i>there</i> first? Well, it is quite obvious since Apple's latest innovations seem to face very high competition from from other companies as Samsung, lus, the fact that in 2013, the share value of Apple dropped so fast that so much as the <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 26px;">CEO Tim Cook decided to use its cash to buy back as much as <b>$130 billion </b>worth of shares over three years</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 26px;"> making it the biggest buyback in history.</span><br />
<br />
That notwithstanding, Apple is hopeful of boosting sales and share price / valuation massively this year from the introduction of their Apple Pay and Apple Watch. In fact, investors predict Apple to reach the $1 trillion evaluation by 2018.<br />

Happiness, they say, is not found somewhere away. Happiness resides right within us. However, it becomes really sad to know that most people are not happy themselves, or can't find this thing called happiness in any way around them, less to talk of extending happiness to others.<br />

So, what is the key to happiness in life? Is this feeling we get when we achieve the success we desire? Or, is it feeling we get when we watch that comic scene of the "Charlie Chaplin" series?<br />
<br />
Some experts argue that, do what you love and not only will you be happy the rest of your life, you will also never have to work again. But how can one know what he loves if he has no idea what it is?<br />
<br />
Well, I believe happiness results from the satisfaction we get for not only doing what we love but also helping people become happy. Happiness, just like any other emotion, can be contagious. You become happier when people around you as well as circumstances are happy, and vice versa.<br />
<br />
So as we celebrate the World's Happiness Day, I wish you all the joy therein you can get. Live life to the max because you only have one [short] life to live. Touch others' lives today by doing something to make them happy, and happiness shall never depart from you.

Today is the birthday of the world's oldest living person, <b>Misao Okawa</b> from Japan. Today, she marked her <b>117th birthday</b> (<b>March 5, 1898 - March 5, 2015</b>). That means, as far is history and the Guinness World Records are concerned, there is no one living now that is as old as she is.<br />
<br />
Irrespective of the fact that a few of her "5 senses" are getting less active with time due to old age, she still seemed quite active and lively about this day.
She has a hearing problem and obviously weaker legs.<br />
<br />
Thus, she sits in a wheelchair and to hear someone speak, they have to speak very close and direct into her ear. However, when her family and friends gathered around her today and was asked what she thinks has been the secret to her long-life, <i><b>"I wonder about that too"</b></i>, was her short response, though she obviously eats well and is in good health.<br />
<br />
Married in 1919, had to be raise her three children alone since 1931 when her husband died. She now has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  <br />
<br />
Japan is one of the few (if not the only) countries in the world with quite a huge number of older people. According to the Japan Government, about <b>58,000 people</b> Japanese are in the <b>100's</b> of which  about <b>87% </b>are females.<br />

One evening, a policeman  saw a man busily tossing his hands and fingers in the bushes just under a street light. Amazed by what this man was doing, the policeman pulled over, parked the police patrol car and got out of the car marching towards this man.<br />

"Hey, what is going on? Is everything okay?", the policeman asked the man who seemed to have had enough to drink and probably lost something of his along the line. "No mate! I just lost my keys." he replied. The policeman, thought it wise to help this man find his so called "lost keys'.<br />

Over half an hour of searching and searching almost everywhere possible hoping to find the keys, the policeman got tired of searching for something which almost seemed invisible and asked this man, "Are you sure you misplaced your keys around this place?" "Um, I guess not." the man replied. "Then why are we looking for it here", the policeman inquired. "Because this is where the lights are", the man answered.<br />

What would you do to this man if you were the policeman? Don't you think he deserved to be.... ?<br />
<br />
I mean how on earth can you misplace something in a dark room and go out to search for it under the street lights?<br />
<br />
Funny enough, that is exactly how some (if not most) of us behave. We almost always look elsewhere or blame someone else when in fact the original "devil" is inside us. We throw things around our environment and expect to be free from mosquito bites in our rooms because we think we don't sleep in the gutters so even if mosquitoes breed out of the gutters where we throw the filth, they won't get to our rooms to bite us. Sorry, but the mosquitoes feed on blood so definitely, they will come chasing us one day.
