That is to say, they (Google) have the right or reserve the right to know a lot about your account like your business, social connections, friends, family, etc.
That means, using Gmail allows Google the opportunity to follow you closely. This is to help Google amass enough information about their subscribers as possible.
The above privacy concerns came about as a result of a group of people who happen to sue Google Inc. in the United States for allegedly "going through their email". However, the petitioners, for that matter, only realized that "they didn't really have any privacy at all".
To make things clear enough, Google Inc. made reference to the fact that this condition is clearly stated in their Policy Agreement Form which many people (subscribers) mostly fail to read through to the latter.
