Today Is "World Happiness Day" - How Many People Have You Made Happy Today?

Happiness, they say, is not found somewhere away. Happiness resides right within us. However, it becomes really sad to know that most people are not happy themselves, or can't find this thing called happiness in any way around them, less to talk of extending happiness to others.<br />
<br />
So, what is the key to happiness in life? Is this feeling we get when we achieve the success we desire? Or, is it feeling we get when we watch that comic scene of the "Charlie Chaplin" series?<br />
<br />
Some experts argue that, do what you love and not only will you be happy the rest of your life, you will also never have to work again. But how can one know what he loves if he has no idea what it is?<br />
<br />
Well, I believe happiness results from the satisfaction we get for not only doing what we love but also helping people become happy. Happiness, just like any other emotion, can be contagious. You become happier when people around you as well as circumstances are happy, and vice versa.<br />
<br />
So as we celebrate the World's Happiness Day, I wish you all the joy therein you can get. Live life to the max because you only have one [short] life to live. Touch others' lives today by doing something to make them happy, and happiness shall never depart from you.

Today is the birthday of the world's oldest living person, <b>Misao Okawa</b> from Japan. Today, she marked her <b>117th birthday</b> (<b>March 5, 1898 - March 5, 2015</b>). That means, as far is history and the Guinness World Records are concerned, there is no one living now that is as old as she is.<br />
<br />
Irrespective of the fact that a few of her "5 senses" are getting less active with time due to old age, she still seemed quite active and lively about this day.
She has a hearing problem and obviously weaker legs.<br />
<br />
Thus, she sits in a wheelchair and to hear someone speak, they have to speak very close and direct into her ear. However, when her family and friends gathered around her today and was asked what she thinks has been the secret to her long-life, <i><b>"I wonder about that too"</b></i>, was her short response, though she obviously eats well and is in good health.<br />
<br />
Married in 1919, had to be raise her three children alone since 1931 when her husband died. She now has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  <br />
<br />
Japan is one of the few (if not the only) countries in the world with quite a huge number of older people. According to the Japan Government, about <b>58,000 people</b> Japanese are in the <b>100's</b> of which  about <b>87% </b>are females.<br />
